WXMG 106.3 FM went BOOM! Radio One announced the LMA of two stations on last Thursday resulting in the frequency change of Magic to 95.5 FM and the rebirth of JOY, inspiration music on 107.1 FM. BOOM 106.3 FM is the fifth BOOM station launched by the Urban Music Specialist, Radio One. KROI BOOM 92 FM in Houston, TX launched the Throwback Hip-Hop brand in October 2014, followed by WPHI BOOM 107.9 FM in Philadelphia, PA, KSOC BOOM 94.5 FM in Dallas, TX and finally WPZE BOOM 102.9FM in Atlanta, GA. Radio One is the first to launch a classic Hip-Hop broadcast station in a major FMmarket and the expansion has been steady and methodical.
