In time for AnimeJapan, a new preview has been presented for the spring TV anime adaptation of Ohtaka Shinobu and Yoshifumi Ohtera’s Magi prequel/spin-off Adventure of Sinbad]. Miyao Yoshikazu helms the AOS Project production, scheduled to air on the latenight Animeism starting April 15th. PENGUIN RESEARCH perform opening “Spotlight” with Fujifabric on ending “Polaris.”

 

An episode listing has confirmed a 13-episode run for the series, however, episodes 2-6 will be TV edits of 2014’s two-part The Capture of Dungeon Baal and 2014/2015’s three-part Capture of Dungeon Valefor OVAs.

Nakaba Suzuki’s fantasy action series The Seven Deadly Sins has set plans to return to anime after its October 2014-Marrch 2015, albeit in a limited fashion. A “Signs of Holy War” special will run on MBS/TBS for four weeks this August with Suzuki providing the new story. This will be preceded by a re-run of the earlier anime.

At this weekend’s Anime Japan, anime studio ufotable presented their latest update on the theatrical anime adaptation of visual Fate/stay night’s “Heaven’s Feel” route, in which Sakura Matō is the heroine. The big news on the projects is that it is now being planned as a trilogy of anime movies launching in 2017 with Tomonori Sudou, animation director/character designer of ufotable’s Unlimited Blade Works TV anime, as director.

Shaft, the Madoka Magica/Monogatari anime studio who have March Comes In Like a Lion on their slate for this fall, will be returing to Marvelous’ PSP Fate/stay night RPG spin-off with 2017 TV anime Fate/Extra – Last Encore. Akiyuki Shinbo and the studio previously animated an opening for 2013’s sequel Fate/Extra CCC.
