On July 17, 2015, Nintendo won a patent case in federal court in Oakland, California. Judge Saundra Armstrong found that eight of Nintendo’s popular hand-held systems, including the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance systems, do not infringe a patent asserted against those products by Quintal Research Group, Inc. Judge Armstrong therefore dismissed the case. Quintal is a patent-assertion company run by the named inventor of the asserted patent, who is also a patent lawyer.
“We are very pleased to have this case dismissed,” said Devon Pritchard, Nintendo of America’s General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Business Affairs. “The result in this case continues to prove that Nintendo will vigorously defend its innovations against patent lawsuits and will not pay to settle cases simply to avoid litigation. Nintendo continues to support patent reform efforts that reduce the unnecessary and inefficient burden cases like this…

They say that cooking is an art. Taste won’t matter much if it doesn’t look appetizing, and presentation combines all the ingredients in a masterful way that only the cook can conjure. But for the girls in this series, cooking is more than just an art. It is an expression of love for friends and family. And when it comes time to be with loved ones, nothing seems more satisfying than sharing those moments over a good meal.
But not to worry. This is also a comedy series! And just as I can’t forget the delicious eye candy (and I mean the food, damn pervs) that whets my appetite every time I watch this series, I also can’t forget that these girls do silly things just to get through life. In fact, it is the combination of mild humor and turning meals into works of art that makes this series…

Recently I haven’t really been reading novels and I thought I’d change that by adding light novels to the mix (my thinking is that since it’s anime related then it must be interesting, haha)!
So this week’s read was The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya by Nagaru Tanigawa! Apparently there are 11 volumes out but I’ve only just read the first. Also, I’ve yet to read the manga (I probably won’t the art isn’t to my liking) or the anime (I’m debating, part of me says yes another says no and no is kind of winning)
But what is this book about?
When Kyon starts high school he’s finally let go of childish thoughts of aliens, time travelers, ghosts, and demons being real and decides to live a normal life. Unfortunately, a single person has decided to make this impossible – Haruhi Suzumiya, the school weirdo that has no interest in humans and…

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan is set in an alternate universe for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which sees Yuki as the president of the Literature Club. The other members of the club include Kyon and Asakura. In this universe, Yuki has a crush on Kyon.
Episode 16 sees Kyon trying to find ways to move past the awkwardness and tension that has developed since the other Yuki confessed her feelings to him. Since the normal Yuki has no idea that the other Yuki had done that, Kyon just can’t talk to her directly about it. For quite a bit of this episode, we see Kyon thinking that he needs to say things to her as the Literature Club is out doing activities, but he can’t seem to be able to do it.
But just as it seems that Kyon will never get the nerve to resolve the issue…
